SES Fourth Grade iPad Projects
Sabetha Elementary School fourth graders recently took their hand a movie producing using an iPad app called Puppet Pals. Students in Karen Aeschliman's reading classes began the project by practicing reading fluency by using Reader's Theater scripts and reading aloud in small groups. They then used iPads belonging to USD 113 to get creative to make puppets to represent the characters in their scripts and record a movie to represent their story. Though the end results are not perfect, the students had a great opportunity to exercise creativity and oral reading fluency while learning to get comfortable with a new technology. Some of the final products can be viewed below, and are grouped according to the students' home room teacher.
