1st Grade Christmas iPad Projects at SES

The SES reading rally groups of Mrs. Schulte, Mrs. Kramer, and Mrs. Payne wrote
Christmas stories using the iPad app called Storykit. In teams of two, the
students could select one of the suggested titles or come up with their own title.
They were to write a six page story including illustrations and/or photographs.
On the fifth day, the student shared their stories by reading them to their
classmates while projected on the screen. As a treat, everyone enjoyed hot
chocolate and frosted sugar cookies while listening to the Christmas stories!

In Mrs. Huning's SES classroom, Magic Elf came to visit for several days in December.  Each morning the students found Magic Elf in a new location with some new holiday messages for the class.  Mrs. Huning used her iPad to photograph each pair of students and recorded them reading Magic Elf's message for day.  You can see the finished story at this link:
