World History

Course Description: The objective of this course is to increase the students understanding of World History. Areas of concentration include historical, political, and economic history coupled with an intense study of cultural and intellectual institutions and their development. This course will also focus on news and events surrounding the world today. Critical thinking will be integral part of the course

American History

Course Description: The objective of this course is to increase the students understanding of American History. Course content begins with Industrial Revolution (late 1800's) and continues on to modern day America. The focus is on America's growth into a world power by becoming an industrialist nation and how policies changed from isolationism to interventionism.

American Government

Course Description: This course stresses the building and making of the Constitution and how it is a large part of our lives today. The U.S. system is compared with others around the world and studied in detail. Topics include heritage of the U.S. system of government, the Constitution, civil rights, politics, congress and the presidency.

AP United States Government & Politics

AP U.S. Government & Politics is an inductory college-level course in U.S. government and politics. Students cultivate their understanding of U.S. government & politics through analysis of data and text-based sources as they explore topics like constitutionalism, liberty and order, civic participation in a representative democracy, competing policy-making interests, and methods of political analysis. AP exam fee assessed at enrollment. May AP exam date. check with your postsecondary institution for credit/transfer information.

Current Events

This class is a study of current events, the background behind these events, and the influence that these events can have the international, federal, state, and local levels.

General Psychology

This course focuses of the study of human behavior. Psychology studies the "whys" and "hows" of the way we are. Major areas include parapsychology, learning, personality, development, and abnormal psychology. Note: General Psychology is paired with Public Speaking/Speech. Please REQUEST both
