Greenhands attend Greenhand conference
Launch the media gallery 1 playerRecently our Greenhand members went to Greenhand conference. The members and students who attended were Taylor McClellan, Clark Werner, Derek Buessing, Quinn Buessing, JasonHart, Caleb Holthaus, Simon Schmitz, and Treyton Thorton. To start their day off, they had opening ceremony by the Northeast district officers and our state Sentinel: Trenton Smedley. Participants took a test over FFA and important changes in the organization. After the test, Greenhands were split into groups and went to workshops, hosted by the district officers and the Kansas Dept. of Ag as well as the K-State AgEd Club. While at the workshops they learned about agriculture, official dress, CDE’s (career development events), how they could contribute to the community while being in FFA, How to make a good first impression and SAE’s (Supervised Agriculture Experiences). Overall the conference was a worthwhile event, and the members that went were excited to share.
