Linda Lovell LaMee Boyd
Linda Lovell LaMee Boyd has taught English, speech, journalism and theatre at Wetmore High School since 1980. She received her Bachelor of Language Arts degree at the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo participating in many theatre productions. She was hired by USD 441 (later on USD 113) directly after her college graduation and moved the city of Wetmore where she fell in love with the Kansas countryside and the people. In 1987 she earned her Master of Arts degree in English from Fort Hays State University.
Directing the fall musical and the spring play are just two of the extra-curricular activities that she sponsors. She is also the National Honor Society sponsor as well as the sponsor for the Cardinal yearbook.
Linda has appeared in over thirty community theatre productions both in Topeka and Atchison. Her favorite roles include Jeri Neal in "Dixie Swim Club," Sister Robert Anne in "Nunsense," Mrs. Kravitz in "Red Herring," and Annie in "Calender Girls" .She was inducted into the Topeka Civic Theatre Hall of Fame in 2006. Linda is married to Walt Boyd (a talented director and actor in his own right.) They have two grown sons: Ben and Adam.
