Dr. Seuss Week/Muffins for Mom and Dad
Axtell KAY club sponsored Dr. Seuss week for all elementary students at Axtell Public School. The students had different dress up days for each day of the week. For Mixed-up Monday, the students wore their clothing inside out and backwards. For Top Hat Tuesday, the students were able to wear their favorite hat to school. Wacky Socks Wednesday was a fun day for the students to wear their craziest socks. For Theodore Geisel Thursday, students dressed as their favorite book character. Members of the community as well as staff members came in on Thursday to read to the students in the afternoon. We closed out the week with Funky Friday, where students were encouraged to wear as many colors as they could. To end our week long celebration KAY club hosted Muffins for Mom and Dad. They served muffins, fruit, juice, and milk to parents and the elementary students. It was a fun week for all of the students and to quote the great Dr. Seuss, "If you never did you should. These things are fun and fun is good."
