Professional Biography:

Lyssia Johnson grew up in Sabetha and graduated from Sabetha High School in 2006. She furthered her education at Kansas State University, where she earned her Bachelor's in Education. After graduating from KSU in 2009, she worked as instructional support staff and a substitute teacher at Sabetha Elementary School. In 2013, she decided to be a stay-at-home mom. From 2018-2021, she ran an in-home daycare. She decided to return to education in 2021, and is excited to be teaching Kindergarten.

Lyssia and her husband, BJ, reside in Sabetha. They have three children, Brooklyn, Kayla, and Lincoln. Besides teaching, she enjoys being with her family, reading, crafting, and spending time outdoors.
