New Security System

Sabetha Elementary Security System:

A new security system has been installed at Sabetha Elementary School.  This is the result of discussions that started with our building site council last year and ultimately approved by our Board of Education.

The system controls the front door and four others that are used by staff and students throughout the day.  All of our doors are now locked during the school day.  Staff are able to enter these doors using a key fob.  The doors are all controlled and monitored through a networked computer system.

The front door includes a video camera that displays in the office.  Anyone needing to enter the building during the day must push the white button.  This notifies the office.  Visitors are asked to identify themselves and their reason for visiting.  Once approved for entry, the door will ‘click’ open.
