The Bluejay Way

SES has in place a PBIS program called "The Bluejay Way".  The foundation of this program is focused on our three building-wide expectations:  Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe.  The Bluejay Way promotes common expectations and vocabulary throughout the building.  Students received instruction on what behaviors are positive examples of these expectations during the first week of school. Members of the Behavior Committee developed lesson plans that were focused on appropriate behavior in the hallways, restrooms, playgrounds, lunch room, and before and after school.  Recognition will also be given to those students who are observed modeling positive behavior.  Each week we select a "Bluejay Way All-Star" from each class. These students were chosen from the group of students in their room who had received blue tickets during the week indicating that they had been observed following "The Bluejay Way".
