USD 113 Participation in Northeast Kansas Library System
USD 113 school libraries are part of the Northeast Kansas Library System. You can read more about NEKLS by clicking here.
District librarians can help students and teachers acquire supplemental materials by requesting from other member libraries. The books are then delivered to the school libraries where district librarians or library aids follow normal check out procedures for issue the resources to students. The membership in this program also provides the district with low-cost circulation software to manage library resources and check outs. It also allows school libraries to apply for library collection development grants.
Parents may decline to have their child participate in borrowing books from other NEKLS library by indicating so at enrollment, or contacting their child's school office at any time.
